Vampire Diaries
Elena (Nina Dobrev) will have to deal with the return of Damon in Season 6 episode 6 of "The Vampire Diaries." CW

Holy drama! Episode 5 of “The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 was an emotional rollercoaster as everyone continued to try to move from the deaths of Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) in the Season 5 finale. And in usual CW fashion, the heartache will continue into episode 6, “The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get.”

Episode 6 will find Alaric (Matt Davis) enlisting the help of Elena (Nina Dobrev) in order to find out more dirt on Jo (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe). Why the Nancy Drew mission? Because Alaric – the super “Original” vampire – somehow can’t compel Jo. What’s Jo’s secret? And who is she really? Unfortunately that’s not the only thing that Elena and gang have to worry about.

The big concern for the Mystic Falls gang is Tripp (Colin Ferguson) – the Founding Family member who has Ivy (Emily Chang) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) in his grasp. While Caroline (Candice Accola) basically wrote off Stefan (Paul Wesley) in episode 5, the blonde vampire will be forced to work alongside him and Matt (Zach Roerig) in order to rescue Enzo … “before Tripp learns their true identities.” The tricky part is that Tripp has an arsenal of weapons and that pesky Mystic Falls borderline in order to get Enzo to talk.

Caroline, Stefan and Matt won’t be the only ones investigating Tripp in episode 6. Sarah (Gabrielle Walsh), a long lost relative of the Salvatore’s, will break into his office to continue doing some digging on her past. What is she searching for? And what will she find out about the Salvatore family?

Meanwhile, the synopsis teases that Elena will be “forced to deal with the consequences of her actions.” Since Bonnie managed to send Damon back to the land of the living in episode 5, we have a feeling that Elena will be struggling to deal with her feelings for Liam (Marco James) – all while missing her memories of Damon. But Elena’s not the only Gilbert dealing with the return of Damon. Jeremy will hit “rock bottom, lashing out in a destructive way.”

Finally, “Vampire Diaries” fans can look forward to seeing Damon “take matters into his own hands when he receives some upsetting news.” Does it have to do with Elena’s new love interest? Enzo’s capture? Or perhaps something to do with Bonnie and Kai (Chris Wood)?

“The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 episode 6 will air on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 8 p.m. EDT.
