Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder reunited on Thursday after their breakup was announced earlier this month. The “Vampire Diaries” co-stars were attending the CW Upfronts in New York City, causing a flurry of excitement over their first encounter post split.

“They kept it professional and seemed to put everything aside to show up and work,” an eyewitness at the event revealed to Life & Style. “At the beginning of the presentation, they walked the CW president out onstage – the president stood in between them. They addressed the crowd and then walked off as he began his speech.” Supposedly seen chit-chatting at the presentation, the two made sure not to be mistaken for a couple. While normally photographed together, both Dobrev and Somerhalder posed separately in front of the camera.

Dobrev, 24, is one of the hottest up-and-coming actresses in Hollywood. Starring in “The Perks Of Being A Wallflower” and the CW’s hit series “The Vampire Diaries,” the Bulgarian beauty is working her way to become a household name.

For the past week Dobrev has made headlines because of the split from Somerhalder, 34, but at the CW event all eyes were on her fashion. The actress stunned in a flattering cobalt Versace dress and leopard print heels.

So, what has lead her transformation into one of Hollywood’s bombshells? Dobrev claims growth.

“I think having a stylist, and also growing up and changing as a person,” she explained to Entertainment Weekly of her fashion. “I used to be a lot more immature – and younger – and my style reflected that. Now I know what I want, and I know what I like. I also have more confidence to take risks.”

While Dobrev may just be answering EW’s questions regarding her fashion evolution and style, it’s hard to ignore the subtle hints at her break up with Somerhalder. Her ex took to Twitter on the day that their split made the news to also talk about “change.” Somerhalder tweeted: “A thought for the day: ‘People change and forget to tell each other.’”

Us Weekly first reported the split, with a source close to the couple stating that they will “continue to work together and remain best friends.” However, an insider told Life & Style magazine that the relationship became strained due to commitment issues.

“He was starting to talk marriage and she is just getting started on her career,” the insider dished. “She loves him, and they still talk every day, but she is not ready to make that huge commitment yet. Maybe in 10 years.”
