  • Pictures from the production set of "Venom 2" have surfaced online
  • Woody Harrelson will be playing the role of Cletus in the film
  • Carnage may be the main villain

Production of the highly anticipated “Venom 2” has started and pictures from the set have surfaced online. Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson are reprising their roles as Eddie and Cletus respectively, and they were both seen on the set having fun.

One of the pictures that has surfaced on Instagram shows Hardy and Harrelson sharing a laugh on the set. The two actors can be seen in regular clothes in the black and white picture, and there is a vintage car in the background.

The clothes Hardy wore in the photo appears to be his costume when he is Eddie. There hasn’t been any leak from the set showing the actor getting into some symbiote action yet.

Another picture that has surfaced online shows Hardy walking into a house in the rain. The actor appears to be wearing the same jacket as the previous photo.

Very few details about the upcoming film have surfaced online, but according to Screen rant, the main villain in “Venom 2” could be Carnage. The fans have been eagerly waiting for the villainous character from the comics to make a big splash on the big screen ever since “Spider-Man 3” was released, and now they will get just that with Harrelson playing the role.

The other big aspect of the upcoming film is about its possible connection to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hardy’s flick takes place in the same universe as “Morbius,” which is a film that has a direct connection to the MCU, Screen Rant reported. Another major character that the fans can expect to see in the movie is Michael Keaton’s Vulture.

“Venom 2” is being directed by Andy Serkis. The film will be released on Oct. 2. More details about the plot may be revealed after the filming wraps.
