The madness of Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen) will continue in “Vikings” Season 5, episode 14. This time, however, there may be someone who can stop him. A preview video of the next episode teased the return of the Seer (John Kavanagh), and he is very concerned about what’s happening in Kattegat.

Ivar declared himself a god in the previous episode, but not everyone is convinced about his divinity. A preview video of episode 14 posted on Facebook shows the Seer waking up with a scream. The scream appears to be about the sacrifice Ivar is about offer to his “fellow gods.”

While the previous episode hinted at Hvitserk (Marco Ilso) being the sacrifice, the preview video proved that this sacrifice is someone else. Ivar introduces the sacrifice to be Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), the former queen of Kattegat.

Lagertha is actually safe, under the protection of Alfred (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) in Wessex. Is Ivar offering a fake Lagertha to the people of Kattegat? A fake sacrifice may explain why that person is wearing a hood to cover her face.

In order to be recognized as a god, a sacrifice may not be enough. Ivar will need that recognition to come from the Seer. A conversation between the two in the “Vikings” Season 5, episode 14 preview shows the Seer calling Ivar the son of Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and not recognizing him as a god.

Will Ivar threaten the Seer’s life in the next episode? According to CarterMatt, Ivar has to secure his place in the eyes of the people, and fear is a great instrument to achieve this. Although he is king of Kattegat now, people may replace him the moment he shows any vulnerability, so there may be a method to the madness after all. No matter who Ivar sacrifices in the next episode, Metro noted that the fans are in for a shock.

Meanwhile, there is trouble in Wessex as well. King Harald (Peter Franzen) and his forces are attacking. Alfred will give his guests a simple choice -- they can either come up with a strategy to defend their new home or be executed.

Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård), on the other hand, will face his own set of problems. There are two factions that have emerged. Despite his best efforts, it seems like the fighting in the “land of the gods” will continue in “Vikings” Season 5, episode 14, titled “The Lost Moment.”

“Vikings” Season 5, episode 14 will air on Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST on the History Channel.
