Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) reunion will be featured in an upcoming episode of "The Walking Dead" that will hit television in early 2021.

The cast of "The Walking Dead" recently assembled for a virtual table read of the next episode, titled "Home Sweet Home." And it features Maggie’s tense meeting with Negan, who murdered her husband Glenn (Steven Yeun) with his baseball bat covered with barbed wire.

Aside from Cohan and Morgan, the stars present during the table read included Melissa McBride (who plays Carol), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Angel Theory (Kelly), Cassady McClincy (Lydia), Cailey Fleming (Judith), and Khary Payton (Ezekiel), Entertainment Weekly reported.

Snippets of two scenes are featured in the table read video. One shows Maggie’s interaction with Negan, while the other has Carol coming clean about letting Negan out of prison.

Maggie is understandably not pleased that Carol had let him out of prison, but it remains to be seen if she’ll ever come to accept the person who killed her husband as an ally.

It has been more than seven years since Negan and Maggie’s last meeting, and he has transformed from a villain to an ally by helping the Alexandrians in their fight against the Whisperers.

Not only did he assassinate Alpha (Samantha Morton), the leader of the Whisperers, Negan also saved Aaron (Ross Marquand) during a war with the Whisperers. The season also saw Negan rescuing his former enemy, Daryl.

Previewing her character’s relationship with Negan, Cohan earlier told Entertainment Weekly that it’s going to be "a lot" for Maggie to accept.

"Obviously, I haven't been privy to these saving graces of Negan's or his great relationship with kids or his affinity for animals. I don't know any of this. And even if I did… So, it's going to be a lot," she said.

"It's definitely going to be a lot when she comes back," she continued. "I'm so jonesing to get into it. It's really, it's fricking great. And I couldn't be doing it with anybody more fun than Jeffrey. It's just, we're really amped. It's great."

"The Walking Dead" Season 10 will return to AMC in early 2021 with six bonus episodes.
