Weddings can sometimes be chaotic but in one such incident in India, people continued to focus on their food, unfazed, even though there was a huge fire just a few meters from the dining area.

A video, which went viral, shows a massive fire that broke out at a wedding venue, with smoke billowing up into the sky. However, the guests there did not seem to be bothered by it and remained largely focused on what was on their plates, reported Deccan Herald.

One guest even looked back a few times to gauge the intensity of the fire but continued eating.

The fire broke out Sunday in the storeroom of a marriage hall in Thane, on the outskirts of India's financial capital Mumbai, NDTV reported.

At least six two-wheelers parked in the area were completely destroyed in the fire. There were no casualties. The blaze was brought under control within an hour, Free Press Journal reported.

"A wedding was going on at the hall in an open place. We suspect guests were bursting crackers and it may have led to a fire in the storeroom built by the decorator. The storeroom was full of bamboo and decorative clothes which were completely burnt. We doused the fire by 12:30 a.m.," said fire officer Rajesh Pawar.

"Around 12 motorcycles parked near the storeroom caught fire and were burnt. The motorcycles were parked near the storeroom, which resulted in catching fire to it," added Pawar. "Thankfully, not one guest at the wedding suffered any injuries."

Some of the items stored in the room, including chairs and decoration items, were ruined in the fire. Although the exact cause of the fire is not known, officials believe it could be because of the firecrackers used at the function.
