Three brothers are responsible for the "Creepy Trump" video that has gone viral, spinning political gold.

The video features footage of Trump aide Kellyanne Conway making derogatory remarks about presumptive Democratic candidate Joe Biden, and then cuts to footage of President Trump making comments consistent with Conway’s insults.

At the start, Conway is heard saying that Biden has “a lot of really creepy statements.” Afterward, the video cuts to Trump making uncomfortable remarks about his daughter Ivanka’s appearance, saying that if she “weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her.”

The video, which has over 6.3 million views, was created and posted to Twitter by MeidasTouch, a Democratic group founded as a blog by brothers Ben, Brett, and Jordan Meiselas. Stuck in apartments in New York and Los Angeles during coronavirus quarantines, the brothers turned their frustrations with the President toward creative endeavors.

The group's popularity rose when one of their videos was retweeted by George Conway, husband of Kellyanne and founder of the Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump Republican super PAC. With their rise in prominence, the brothers upgraded their operation from a simple blog to a super PAC. They have so far received more than $300,000 in contributions.

“It got over a million views very quickly,” Brett Meiselas explained. “Suddenly we had people paying attention to us. We had followers.”

“A lot of what (Trump and his team) are saying is projection,” Ben Meiselas, a lawyer who represented Colin Kaepernick in his lawsuit against the NFL, said in an interview with CNN. “They're blaming the things that they're doing on Biden and on others.”
