President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump appear to be permanently bound for south Florida when they leave the White House on Jan. 20.

The couple was seen touring a private school in Fort Lauderdale, which is about 40 minutes away from their current home in Mar-a-Lago. Their son, Barron, is 14 years old.

Various sources told Page Six that the Trump family could make the home their “political base.” There has been speculation that Donald Trump would consider another run for office.

“They are looking at schools for Barron and also looking for homes near Mar-a-Lago to purchase. The thought is they will stay at Mar-a-Lago initially after leaving the White House,” one source said.

Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale has a tuition of $35,150. Providing personal and business tax returns are also required when trying to enroll in the school, Page Six reports.

President Trump and Melania in 2019 changed their home address from New York City to Florida. It is unlikely that the family would consider permanently moving back to New York.

Another exclusive source told Page Six that first daughter Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner bought a lot of land on Indian Creek Island off the coast of Miami for $31 million.

Meanwhile, President Trump on Sunday continued to dispute the results of the November election. He posted on Twitter that it was the most corrupt election in U.S. history.

"How do states and politicians confirm an election where corruption and irregularities are documented throughout? A Swing State hustle!" President Trump tweeted.
