WhatsApp users in India and parts of Europe reported an outage of the messaging service Tuesday. While it was unclear if the disruption was global, users from Italy and Turkey also reported the platform was not working for them.

Minutes after the outage, WhatsApp's parent company Meta announced that the team was working to restore the services.

"We are aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we are working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible," a spokesperson said, according to NDTV. Meta did not say when the services would be back.

This is a developing story.
