Sansa (Sophie Turner) and Arya (Maisie Williams) could team up to take down a common enemy on “Game of Thrones.” HBO

There’s just a few weeks left until “Game of Thrones” begins its epic conclusion on HBO, and fans are still trying to figure out any little theories they can that may explain just how the show makes a bow.

While the show isn’t going to reveal anything major so close to the premiere, the stars are dropping small hints about what fans can expect. Meanwhile, fans are also coming up with more theories about just who may take the Iron Throne when everything is said and done. Here are three new things we may know about the show ahead of the premiere.

Sansa Could Despise Daenerys-But May Also Admire Her

Sansa (Sophie Turner) may have a reason for her scowls in the “Game of Thrones” trailers. HBO

Fans have already seen that Sansa (Sophie Turner) doesn’t seem to be overly pleased about Daenerys’ (Emilia Clarke) arrival in Winterfell in any of the previews for the final season. Now, Turner weighed in, hinting to the Wrap that Sansa never really looks happy, but in general, she may have some genuine concerns about the Mother of Dragons. However, that doesn’t mean the characters will always remain enemies.

“I think Daenerys is a threat to the things that she holds most dear,” she said. “But you never know, they might get on like peas in a pod.”

Fans have already theorized that Sansa would eventually grow to admire Daenerys because of how her hair looked in the “Crypts of Winterfell” promo. It’s been revealed in the past that Sansa’s hair always reflects the style of a woman she admires at the time. In that promo, her hair featured a series of complicated braids in the back—a style Daenerys has worn for years.

Sansa Could Get Her Satisfying Final Showdown With Cersei

In that same interview with The Wrap, Turner admitted she wants to see Sansa face off against Cersei (Lena Headey) for a final time as well since she and her archenemy haven’t been face-to-face since Joffrey’s (Jack Gleeson) wedding in Season 4.

“It’s definitely something that you could possibly see. And I would love to see Sansa have a face-off with Cersei. I think it would be a long time coming,” she said.

She also has a theory for how it could go down and played off the fact that Sansa and Arya (Maisie Williams) are now a team when it comes to taking down their enemies.

“Cersei is on Arya’s list, so I would love to see Sansa and Arya team up against Cersei,” she said. “But who knows, man. Who knows.”

Someone Unexpected Could Take The Iron Throne

While most seem to believe that either Daenerys or Jon (Kit Harington) will take the Iron Throne in the end, a few dark horse contenders have also emerged—including Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright). However, a new theory suggests that a character fans haven’t even met yet will be the one that sits on the throne when the entire war comes to a conclusion.

The Ringer recently noted that The Golden Company—and specifically its leader, Harry Strickland (Marc Rissmann) could have a bigger role than just serving as Cersei’s army. In the books, it's revealed that the Golden Company was actually founded by a Targaryen bastard named Aegor Rivers. If Strickland happens to be a descendant of Aegor, then another character who has been working behind the scenes but hasn’t been visible since Season One, Illyrio Mopatis (Roger Allam), may have been conspiring to get a different Targaryen on the throne. The initial plot had been to get Viserys (Harry Lloyd) to take control, but that plan changed when he died and Daenerys became focused on ruling on her own.

If Illyrio was actually planning on someone else, the theory states that while illegitimate, Harry Strickland could be the Targaryen who is on the throne in the end.
