Kaley Cuoco and her husband, Karl Cook, have decided to end their marriage.

The "Big Bang Theory" actress and her equestrian husband, who have been married for three years, shared the news of their split Friday in a statement to People.

"Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realized that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions," they wrote. "We have both shared so much of our journey publicly so while we would prefer to keep this aspect of our personal life private, we wanted to be forthcoming in our truth together."

Cuoco and Cook made it clear that there was "no anger or animosity" involved in their decision to break up.

"We have made this decision together through an immense amount of respect and consideration for one another and request that you do the same in understanding that we will not be sharing any additional details or commenting further," they added.

Cuoco and Cook started dating in 2016 and got engaged on her birthday in November 2017. They eventually tied the knot on June 30, 2018, though they didn't live together until last spring.

The "Flight Attendant" star and her now-estranged husband are both avid equestrians and love horses. They even held their wedding in a horse stable near San Diego, California, with just their close friends and family in attendance.

In June, the pair marked their third wedding anniversary with posts on social media that appeared to give no hint that they were experiencing marital problems.

"NY, June 30th, 2016 is the year we met. 2 years to the day before we got married and now 3 years married! Why have you stayed married to me for so long?! I’m sincerely impressed @mrtankcook lol I love you oh so much you have no idea …happy anniversary!!!" Cuoco wrote with a red heart emoji.

Cook, meanwhile, posted a solo photo of his wife on the photo-sharing platform. "I agree @kaleycuoco I am just as amazed it’s been three years, feel like just a flash. I love you so much and I can’t wait for a million more years!!" he wrote in the caption.

In a previous interview on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," Cuoco said that their shared love for horses brought them together.

"When you share something so special, some sort of connection - for us, it's horses, but anything two people share - you have that common goal and you know that you want the same things in life, day to day, and in the future. It just sets you on a better path," she said. "Having a lot in common is really important and we definitely have a lot in common. I think that that's what makes us so strong and really happy."

This was Cuoco's second marriage and the first for Cook. The actress was previously married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting from 2013 to 2016.
