  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry "feel rewarded" from the work they are doing, a report says
  • The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly have no solid plans about a U.K. return at the moment
  • But Prince Harry and Markle are monitoring occasions such as Trooping the Colour and Prince Philip's birthday

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are at peace and satisfied with their decision to leave their royal lives and move to California, a report says.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced in January last year that they were stepping down as senior members of the royal family and flew to the U.S. after carrying out their final royal duty in March. One year after their big announcement, an unnamed source has said that Prince Harry and Markle have "no regrets" about their decision.

"[They] feel very rewarded from their work," the insider told Entertainment Tonight.

The source went on to add that Prince Harry and Markle have no definite plans to return to the U.K. at the moment, but they are monitoring some important milestones and occasions.

"Decisions will be made on a case by case basis and see where the medical protocols are around the time they decide to return," the insider said. "Certainly, the Duke and Duchess have their eye on the Invictus Games, Trooping The Colour and Prince Phillip's birthday in June, and the unveiling of the Princess of Wales statue."

In October, an insider also told ET that Prince Harry had no plans to return to the U.K. "anytime soon" because he and his wife were adhering to "social isolation guidelines" amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"Things can obviously change, if there's a concern about family health, but they are not hopping over the pond anytime imminently," the tipster said.

The report comes days after the Sussexes kicked off their projects with the launch of their Archewell website. It serves as a one-stop destination for their nonprofit foundation, their new podcast on Spotify and their collaboration with Netflix.

On Tuesday, they closed out 2020 with the release of a special episode of their "Archewell Audio" podcast. They invited several celebrities and personalities to share personal anecdotes and inspirational stories on their show, including Stacey Abrams, Brené Brown, Elton John, Deepak Chopra, James Corden and Tyler Perry.

The episode also featured the likes of José Andrés, Naomi Osaka, novelist Matt Haig, teen activist Christina Adane, anti-racism author Rachel Cargle and British poets Hussain Manawer and George the Poet.

One of the most surprising guests of Prince Harry and Markle's holiday podcast episode, however, was their son, Archie, who wished everyone a Happy New Year.
