Will Smith is back on the grind - months after the infamous Oscars slap in March. In a video shared on Twitter, the actor is seen mingling with locals during a break while filming the Disney+ series, "Welcome to Earth" in Alausi, Ecuador.

In the clip from the historic rail site of La Nariz del Diablo, Smith is walking up to a woman and her child who requested a photo with the actor while filming.

Wearing a baseball cap and a yellow T-shirt, the "Men in Black" star is also seen blowing kisses to fans while inside a vehicle in a photo shared by ET.

Smith also explored various cities in Ecuador in search of the best locations for the series. A fan compiled some snaps that also show the 53-year-old visiting Chimborazo and riding a train in La Nariz del Diablo. The Academy Award winner also posed with several other locals who were visibly thrilled to see him.

The upcoming second season of the National Geographic Series will see the continuation of Smith's adventures "to the extreme ends of the earth."

In July, Smith came out with a five-minute video on his YouTube channel and apologized for slapping Chris Rock during the 2022 Academy Awards. Rock had made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith's bald head during the live broadcast of the awards show.

"I've reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he's not ready to talk and when he is, he will reach out so I will say to you Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable and I'm here whenever you're ready to talk," the "Aladdin" actor began.

Rock did not directly respond to Smith's apology but continued to make references about the incident during his stand-up performance in Atlanta the same month.

"If everybody claims to be a victim, then nobody will hear the real victims," Rock said. "Even me getting smacked by Suge Smith ... I went to work the next day, I got kids," Rock joked while on stage.

"Anyone who says words hurt has never been punched in the face," he quipped.

After releasing his apology video, Smith reportedly became "less ashamed" and "more comfortable" being out in public.

"He was in very low spirits prior to making his public apology," a source said about Smith in August. "He feels less ashamed now and more comfortable being out and about in public again."
