  • CD Projekt Red is the studio behind "The Witcher" and "Cyberpunk 2077"
  • The games giant shared a new strategy update video recently
  • It also rolled out a new patch to "Cyberpunk 2077"

It seems Polish games giant CD Projekt Red (CDPR) may have just hinted at the release window of "The Witcher 4." The assumption is based on the game maker's recent strategy video update online.

In the video, CDPR mentions its commitment to creating more single-player RPGs aside from evolving "The Witcher" and "Cyberpunk" IPs. CDPR also assures that "Single-player RPGs have been, are, and will remain our priority."

It added that it "also perceive the huge potential of both The Witcher and Cyberpunk, and we want to expand their reach to include new areas, media, and content types." CD Projekt Red also noted that it's changing its development framework so it to begin creating multiple AAA games and expansions in parallel, starting next year.

Head of Production Pawel Zawodny said that the studio is "planning to build cross-functional teams to work on both IPs." Assuming that one of the AAA games is "The Witcher 4," it could enter into production next year.

CD Projekt Red is the studio behind the popular series "The Witcher" and "Cyberpunk. " Following the release of the Night City set action RPG "Cyberpunk 2077," it is expected to work on the next "The Witcher" title, especially after how both games were received by the public.

It is worth noting that CD Projekt Red has not named any of the projects but the general assumption is that one of them could be the next installment of one of its series, which could be "The Witcher 4." As for its release window, it is worth noting that the studio developed "The Witcher 3" for approximately four years. Taking note of this pattern, it is safe to say that "The Witcher 4" could release sometime between 2025 and 2026.

If this is true then fans won't be hearing much about the game anytime soon despite the studio's penchant for announcing games very early. Since CDPR has not explicitly mentioned anything about "The Witcher 4," fans should take the information with a pinch of salt considering that it is speculative. Meanwhile, the studio recently rolled out a new patch to "Cyberpunk 2077" to fix bugs and glitches.
