A woman cut off her ex-husband’s penis and testicles and flushed them down the toilet after learning that he had cheated on her while they were married. The incident took place in Hsinchu, Taiwan, on Thursday.

Police responded to the home after receiving a call from the unidentified victim saying that he had locked himself in the toilet after being attacked by his ex-wife. Police said the man and his ex-wife were divorced less than a month ago, however, the victim continued to stay with her as he was jobless.

On the day of the incident, the woman first seduced the victim before cutting his genitals off with a sharp pair of scissors. She then doused them in acid before flushing them down the toilet. “If I can't have it, no one else can,” the woman reportedly said before trying to kill herself by taking 40 sleeping pills.

“'While the victim had his pants down, the suspect used a pair of scissors to cut off the victim's genitals,” police said.

Meanwhile, police rushed the woman and the victim to a nearby hospital where they were listed stable. Officers, however, weren’t able to retrieve the man’s genitals and doctors said they wouldn’t have been able to reattach the genitals even if they were found.

Neighbours said the couple had no children and used to argue quite often. Meanwhile, police were waiting for the couple’s official written statement before charging the woman and taking her into custody.

In a similar incident in Illinois earlier this month, a woman stabbed her boyfriend’s genitals with a knife during a breakup argument. The unidentified victim told police that he had tried to break up with his girlfriend, however, she refused and went on to grab his genitals and began to “pull and tug at these body parts to the point that it was painful.” The man’s wound was “a five to six inch in length, half-an-inch deep laceration to the right side of his scrotum.” The accused was taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic battery.
