Lifetime’s “It’s A Wonderful Lifetime” programming event is already coming to an end, with its final new premiere of the 2021 holiday season, “Writing Around the Christmas Tree,” starring Krystal Joy Brown and Curtis Hamilton.

The final film of the season will be a festive treat featuring stars that fans may recognize from other projects but likely aren’t overly familiar. While Brown did previously star in “Psycho Stripper” on Lifetime, her other notable roles were in Hallmark’s “One Royal Holiday” and as Netossa in “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.”

As for Hamilton, fans might recognize him for his portrayal of Dr. Dre in Lifetime’s 2016 film “Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le,” but he is most recently best known for his role as Aric on “Insecure.”

So what can fans expect when these two team up in their first film together? Let’s find out.

“Mikaela (Brown), a successful romance novelist who has had bad luck in love, visits a quaint bed and breakfast for a Christmas writer’s retreat near a snowy lake town each year,” a synopsis reads. “Upon arriving, she meets dashing writer Levi (Hamilton), who soon convinces Mikaela that she shouldn’t be writing about love, if she doesn’t allow herself to get out and actually experience it.”

Will Mikaela finally find inspiration from her own life for a new novel?

“Writing Around the Christmas Tree” airs Saturday at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
