Bryan Singer is keeping his fans updated with behind-the-scenes happenings on the “X-Men: Apocalypse’s” set. He recently shared a photo of himself with Sir Patrick Stewart and Jason Reitman. He can be seen sitting with them and keenly looking at something. The trio appears to be discussing something as Stewart appears to bring attention to something by pointing with his finger.

The photo is captioned as, “Trying to look intensely thoughtful, @sirpatstew and #jasonreitman visiting #xmen #apocalypse #xmenapocalypse set and reminiscing about our own #daysoffuturepast. Looking forward to "jasonreitmanlivereading tonight of #biglebowski with #michaelfassbender as "The Dude!"

Reportedly, Stewart who has played Charles Xavier/Professor in previous X-men films will not reprise his role in “X-Men: Apocalypse.” However, Slash Film reported it is possible he'll make a cameo to set up future films. Nothing is confirmed as yet and if the photo caption is anything to go by then it is possible that he was just casually visiting the film’s set.

Stewart told Eonline previously he was unsure about his appearance in the film. “I learned quite a lot more about it last night and it ... it is ... looking very much at the earlier lives of all our characters, so I don't think we'll be making an appearance,” he said.

James McAvoy will play the role of Professor X in the film. The comic book character is the founder of X-Men and is an exceptional telepath. He can read and control minds, trains mutants and believes in peaceful co-existence of humans and mutants. In “X-Men: Apocalypse” McAvoy’s will be seen going bald due to age.

The film is being shot in Montreal and also stars Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Olivia Munn, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Lucas Till, Josh Helman, Lana Condor, and Ben Hardy. Singer is directing the film from the screenplay by Simon Kinberg. It is to open May 27, 2016.
