He’s been struggling ever since his wife’s death, and now, as he begins to seek help, Devon could realize just how bad his situation has gotten on the Thursday, Dec. 6 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Since Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) death on the CBS soap, Devon (Bryton James) hasn’t been the same. Though he seemed to move on from his anger towards Lily (Christel Khalil), he has been partying often, worrying his loved ones in the process. In addition, someone he’s been hanging out with left a bag of pills in his home, causing even more concerns and leading Shauna (Camryn Hamm) to leave and move back in with her family in Colorado. Now, at Ana’s (Loren Lott) urging, he will seek help from a professional.

“Devon visits a therapist,” “Y&R” spoilers tease.

However, his visit won’t go as well as he’d hoped, as the doctor will insist he begins taking anti-anxiety medications, something e is hesitant to do because of his family’s own addiction issues. Still, he may quickly learn he doesn’t have a choice in the matter when an important client arrives at his house for a business meeting—and he realizes he’s ill-equipped to handle things.

Devon will begin to suffer from an anxiety attack, one that’s been building for a while. Now, it will raise the question of whether he still can be saved or not—even with the help of a therapist and medications.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
