He was floored to find out that his former best friend and current pain in his side might actually be his cousin. Now, Kyle will find himself at odds with the rest of the family as they try to determine if Theo needs to know the truth on the Wednesday, Oct. 30 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Kyle (Michael Mealor) has been desperate to get Theo (Tyler Johnson) out of his life ever since his former friend arrived in Genoa City and threatened to ruin his marriage to Lola (Sasha Calle) and also cozied up with Summer (Hunter King). Unfortunately for him, Theo has managed to find a way to stick around on the CBS soap, and now, following Jack (Peter Bergmann) and Tracy (Beth Maitland) digging around for more info on Dina’s (Marla Adams) past for the book they’re writing, Theo being around will actually be something useful.

Jack and Tracy uncovered that Dina’s affair with Stuart Brooks resulted in a pregnancy and that she gave up the boy she had for adoption—Theo's father, Eric Vanderway. Now, with the knowledge that Theo is likely his cousin, Kyle is furious—and he will disagree with Jack when his father suggests they tell Theo the truth because he doesn’t want his foe to be a member of the family.

“Kyle and Jack are not on the same page,” spoilers reveal.

Kyle’s concerns stem from his past history with Theo, who he no longer trusts to not try and rip the family apart if it helps mess with the life Kyle has created for himself since New York. Still, Jack wants answers, and despite Kyle’s insistence, he will make sure that Theo is given the information.

Naturally, knowing Kyle won’t be happy with the news, Theo won’t hesitate to needle his potential new cousin about their connection—and things will likely only get worse from there for not only them but everyone that they are both connected to.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
