Nintendo is rolling out a new software update for its high-fantasy action-adventure “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.” Here’s how you can download and install the latest patch that is said to improve gaming experience.

Players can directly download the software update to their console starting this week. Downloading requires one to connect the console to the internet. Once connected, one should return to the HOME Menu then launch the game. This will automatically start the download process. When the download is done, the installation process will begin right away. Players will know that they have the latest patch since version number 1.1.2 will be displayed on the title screen once installation is done.

The new update comes less than two weeks since version 1.1.1 was released on March 31. This is the third update since the first one was rolled out on the launch day of the console and the launch title on March 3, according to GameSpot.

The patch notes for the new update contains one single line: “Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.” The previous software update improved frame rates in some areas of “Breath of the Wild,” so many are hoping that this new patch is also performance-related.

Express learned from Reddit users some changes they found after installing version 1.1.2. One player said that the horseback Bokoblin arrow farming exploit has been removed. On the other hand, another Redditor pointed out that this patch does not make Korok Forest run smoother, and it does not remove the infinite stamina run glitch as well.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” is the latest installment in the Zelda series. It presents a world of discovery, exploration and adventure called Hyrule, and it follows the journey of protagonist Link after his 100-year slumber.

The game was originally intended for release as a Wii U exclusive back in 2015. However, after experiencing delays, the game was introduced as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch early last month.
