KEY POINTS

  • The richest "Bachelor" is Prince Lorenzo Borghese
  • The new season of "Bachelor" will air in 2021
  • The 25th season will see Matt James in the titular role

“The Bachelor” is finally set to air its 25th season in 2021. With this development, the fans are eager to know what happened to the other stars of the show and who went on to become multimillionaires.

The chosen bachelor is compensated as the show starts but the hopeful suitors are not compensated, a report from Yahoo! News revealed. The producers would pay basically what the lead star is earning outside of the show and then some. As the season goes on, the popularity of the lead star increases, thus paving the way for more opportunities in show business, such as TV guestings. On the other hand, others parlayed their fame from the show to start their own business ventures.

The richest “Bachelor” in the history of the show is Prince Lorenzo Borghese. The contestants had to fly to Rome to meet the Italian prince, per Life and Style Magazine. He has a net worth of around $50 million, which mostly came from his business, Borghese cosmetics line. Joining him at the top of the rankings is Andew Firestone with about the same net worth. Firestone is the heir of the Firestone Tire empire, which explains his massive wealth.

Travis Stork takes the 3rd place on the richest list with $12 million. He was a doctor by profession and he went on to host the talk show “The Doctors.” Fourth place belongs to Ed Swiderski who won the heart of “The Bachelorette” Season 5’s Jillian Harris. The two separated but Swiderski achieved success after being an entrepreneur and a book author.

The 5th spot is taken by former NFL player Jesse Palmer who starred on "The Bachelor" Season 5. He has around $6 million worth of fortune. He played for the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Giants in the NFL. Sixth on the list is Arie Luyendyk Jr. with his $4 million net worth. The race car driver made most of his wealth competing mostly in North America.

The 7th to 10th spots were occupied by Jef Holm, Ryan Stutter, Chris Soules and Jason Mesnick with their $3 million, $2 million, $1.5 million and $1 million net worth, respectively.

With the changes brought by the pandemic, shooting schedules have been postponed several times for the upcoming season. The success of the shooting of “The Bachelorette,” where the cast and crew were quarantined in a remote location, has set the stage for the filming of the next “The Bachelor” with Matt James as the titular star, per Variety.
