The time of year has arrived when 7-Eleven will be offering customers a cool treat in celebration of Slurpee Day. Although July 11 is known as National 7-Eleven Day, customers of the convenience store chain began referring to the date as Slurpee Day.

In 2022, the company decided to join its fans in calling the free frozen drink celebration Slurpee Day. This year also marks the 95th year since the convenience store, which was first founded in 1927, has been in business.

In celebration of its latest birthday, 7-Eleven will be offering customers a free, small-size Slurpee in any flavor. Those interested in taking advantage of the annual tradition need to be 7REWARDS or Speedy Rewards members.

The celebration actually began back on July 1 when the convenience store retailer opted to switch up their typical celebration by recognizing the day across all 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores.

At the beginning of the month, a coupon for one free small Slurpee drink was added to reward members’ accounts. Customers have until July 11 to redeem the coupon.

Reward members who redeemed their coupon ahead of July 11 have the option of walking into 7-Eleven and getting a small Slurpee for $1. The $1 deal also extends to select snack items in-store, including taquitos and Big Bite hot dogs.

“We’re thrilled to be celebrating Slurpee Day for the first time across all of our banners so we can spread the Slurpee drink birthday love even further,” Marissa Jarratt, executive vice president and CMO at 7‑Eleven, said in a statement.

“And 11 days of free Slurpee drinks is just the beginning. With a mystery Slurpee flavor, dollar deals on all roller grill items, including Big Bite hot dogs and fan-favorite snacks and drinks such as pizza slices and any size iced coffee, this Slurpee Day is shaping up to be quite the celebration.”

Customers who participate in the frozen drink celebration will be able to choose from a variety of flavors like Coca-Cola, Pina Colada, Cherry, Blue Raspberry, and the limited-time mystery Slurpee drink flavor, “What the Fanta.”
