It’s last call at “Abby’s.” NBC’s newest neighborhood bar sitcom is getting shut down after just one season. The peacock network canceled the series last month.

The comedy, which launched in March, wasn’t on the slate at Upfronts in mid-May, and fans hoped that ratings would get a little higher and make NBC renew it for Season 2. Unfortunately, the network decided to pull the plug before all episodes had even aired.

The ratings just couldn’t really come back from how low they dipped. “Abby’s” was the lowest-rated of not just NBC’s sitcoms but of all their programming. It only pulled a 0.4 in the 18-49 demographic and 1.687 million viewers overall. It had the 9:30 p.m. Thursday time slot, where “Will & Grace” was previously pulling in 0.74 in the demo and over 3 million total viewers.

The show, which filmed in front of a live, outdoor audience, focused on Natalie Morales’ titular character. She is a veteran who runs an illegal bar out of her backyard and serves all of her quirky neighbors.

Morales expressed how proud she is of “Abby’s” on social media. “This show means so much to me. We broke ground, & then we sat down & had a beer with our friends. Even though I am pretty upset we only got to do 10, I’m so thankful I got to do any,” she wrote.

NBC apparently also asked Morales to post a “For Your Consideration” promo photo.

In the series finale, “Abby’s” will have the bar rally to help Bill (Nelson Franklin) get something important back from his ex. “When Bill admits to the group that he has Padres season tickets behind home plate that he lost in his divorce, the gang forces him to invite his ex-wife to the bar to reclaim the tickets,” the finale synopsis teases.

The final episode of “Abby’s” airs Thursday at 9:30 p.m. EDT.
