Alex Rodriguez is keeping mum about his future plans with girlfriend Jennifer Lopez.

In an interview with E! News on Wednesday, the former professional baseball player was given the chance to address the engagement rumors involing him and Lopez, but he only laughed them off.

Rodriguez was first asked if the rumors that he and Lopez plan to move in together were true, but he stayed silent for a while before replying, "I don't know." When asked about a possible engagement happening in the near future, he playfully dodged the question. "Um the question is, I need to find out which episode am I in first," he said with a laugh.

Despite her boyfriend's avoidance of answering questions about their future, his and Lopez's relationship appears to be going strong. During her interview for Hola! USA's October-November issue, the "Shades of Blue" star gushed about her romance with Rodriguez.

"I'm in a good relationship," Lopez said of the former NY Yankees player. "I feel like I can say that for the first time—I don't know—maybe ever. And not that I didn't have great relationships, full of love and adventure, but this is the first relationship I've been where I feel like we really make each other better."

The "American Idol" judge also said that she felt that they complement each other well. In fact, Lopez believes that she has found "true love" with Rodriguez.

"We complement each other, and there's really pure, true love," Lopez added. "Just wanting to support the other person and make them happy. So there's a different selflessness in the love that's beautiful and different. And healthy!"

Rodriguez and Lopez have been open about their relationship. They also made sure that their kids get to know and spend time with each other. Lopez is a mom to 9-year-old twins Emme and Max, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony. Rodriguez has two kids with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis -- Natasha, 12, and Ella, 9.

As parents, Rodriguez and Lopez make sure that their children get the best childhood by showering them with love and attention. On Easter holiday, the couple hosted an Easter egg hunt for their brood, friends and family members at the Casa De Campo Resort & Villas. According to an insider, Lopez and Rodriguez's children got along well and Natasha was like a big sister to Lopez's kids.
