Alyssa Scott and Nick Cannon lost their 5-month-old son, Zen, to cancer in December. The model remembered her late son ahead of Valentine's Day by sharing a series of photos and a video.

The 28-year-old model took to Instagram on Sunday to write a heartfelt message about her late son.

"I can imagine us the night before Valentine's Day filling out cards to hand to your classmates," she wrote. "All signed with your handwriting.. I know it would say: love, Zen. Every letter written with your tiny little hand."

She recalled how she often thinks about Zen's voice and the sound of him saying "I love you mom," adding that though she never heard those words, they "still feel to this day."

Scott shared that she sees Zen in everything. "I know you love me, Zen. You are everywhere. I see you in everything beautiful," Scott added. "When I hear a baby giggle, when I see children playing. You are there. If I had one wish it would be to hold you."

Scott concluded the post by adding that she was missing Zen "extra today."

Model Jessa Hinton commented, "My heart is with you babe." Fans also shared their reactions to the emotional post.

"His soul is so bright alyssa," one person wrote. "I know it hurts. he's filled in every moment, every breath. the more we talk about him, the more his energy is revived. it always hits so hard when i see other mamas struggling, i take it in so deep. the only thing to do is just talk about it, keep it alive."

"His soul will live forever," another user wrote.

Zen died on Dec. 5 last year due to a brain tumor. Cannon opened up about the little one's condition a week later.

"It sounded like he had fluid in his lungs, like a sinus infection or something," Cannon told People at the time. "[The doctors] didn't think it to be anything too concerning." However, the doctors realized within a couple of weeks of his birth that Zen's head was "growing a little too quickly." Cannon tried to keep Zen as happy as possible when he came to know that the baby had little time to live.

Cannon was married to Mariah Carey from 2008 to 2016. He shares 10-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with his ex-wife. The comedian also shares 4-year-old Golden and 1-year-old Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell. He has 7-month-old twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with Abby De La Rosa.
