Local Fox 5 Atlanta news anchor Amanda Davis was arrested on Sunday for DUI after she was reportedly in a car accident, police said.

Atlanta Police Sgt. Gregory Lyon said Davis was arrested at around midnight after an accident, reported. Lyon said Davis was driving northbound in a southbound lane, and crashed her green Fiat into a black Toyota.

"Upon speaking with both drivers, the officer noticed an odor of alcohol emanating from Ms. Davis' person," Sgt. Lyon said in a statement. "He asked her if she had been drinking, to which she did respond in the affirmative."

Davis reportedly refused to submit to a field sobriety test and the State Administered Chemical Test, and she was arrested for impaired driving and was booked in jail.

Davis was also charged with reckless driving and failure to maintain a lane.

The other driver, David Jarman, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, after complaining of injuries.
