Newly-crowned winner of the first season of the reality competition series, “American Song Contest” Alexa said she is hoping to work with Doja Cat someday.

The half-Russian K-pop artist who represented her hometown Oklahoma in the show said she has a long list of artists she wants to collaborate with after winning the prestigious competition.

“I met Doja Cat on BBMA (Billboard Music Awards). I was like dreaming,” Alexa told the press at a conference organized by her entertainment studio, ZB label in Seoul on Thursday.

“To see her in person, hear her talking and have a conversation, it was cool and I felt so honored. There are a lot of artists I want to collaborate with and she’s number one on that list,” the singer said as translated by Koreaboo.

Alexa also told reporters that she might have influenced the 26-year-old “Boss Bitch” artist to add a few piercings after their conversation.

“When we were talking, she looked at my ear. I got a lot of piercings here,” Alexa said and showed journalists her right ear. “She looked at them and she said she wanted them too and that they were really cool.”

She continued, “So, later, if you see Doja Cat with more piercings, then maybe it’s because of me.”

Alexa said she will be promoting “Wonderland” in Korea. “I plan to work not only in Korea but also globally,” she added.

The 25-year-old K-pop singer was proclaimed the winner of the U.S. version of Eurovision on May 10 with her electro-pop song, “Wonderland.” Alexa beat nine other artists including “When A Man Loves A Woman” singer Michael Bolton.

Born Alexandra Christine Schneiderman, Alexa secured the most number of votes from the public after promoting “Wonderland” through a viral TikTok challenge. Her performance of the track was marked by elaborate stage productions and complicated choreography which included a backward fall from a staircase mounted on the stage.

Alexa appeared as a presenter at the BBMA on Monday as part of her prize in winning the competition. Aside from Doja Cat, Alexa also met and snapped photos with other artists at the BBMA including Chloe Bailey and Becky G.
