Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are still on a break from their regular show on ABC.

ABC News President Kim Godwin announced last week that Robach and Holmes would take a break from hosting their 1 p.m. show. They are still not returning this week as the network continues investigating their rumored affair.

"As we start this week together, I want to take a moment to address the ongoing mater involving 'GMA3' anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach. I understand that the continued coverage can be distracting from the incredibly important work our team does here at ABC News," Godwin told staffers in an email obtained by TMZ.

"Amy and T.J. will remain off-air pending the completion of an internal review, and there will be a rotation of anchors at 'GMA3' for time being. It is my hope that we will continue to focus our energy on what we do best, and I want all of you to know how immensely proud I am of your hard work and professionalism."

An anonymous source told People that even if the pair got taken off the air, both have not faced any serious repercussions from the network two weeks after their romance made headlines. However, their fate in the network has remained uncertain.

"There are no suspensions here at all," the source said. "The network is just gathering information at this time. They're investigating the relationship and understanding the details before figuring out what's next."

According to an insider, Godwin wanted to address the internal and external distractions caused by Holmes and Robach's affair in their routine 9 a.m. call. She pointed out that the rumored romance was not a violation of the company's policy, but taking them off the air was the best for the organization as they "figure things out."

Robach and Holmes still returned to host "GMA3" after news of their relationship broke on Nov. 30. However, they just laughed it off.

They sparked dating rumors after photos of them holding hands in a car and cozying up at a bar during a vacation in New York surfaced. Both are married, but sources told People they had been separated from their spouses in August.

Another insider claimed that Holmes and his wife, attorney Marlie Fiebig, were trying to give their marriage another try. So, the immigration lawyer was blindsided after learning about his affair with his co-anchor.

Fiebig and Holmes reportedly spent the latter's birthday in August with their 8-year-old daughter Sabine even after being separated for six months, signaling that they were trying to get back on track.
