Although Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt became legally single in April, the “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” star has some “resentment” toward her estranged husband following their bitter divorce.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016, however, the estranged couple has struggled to come to a settlement. The actors are still negotiating the terms of their divorce and have since reached a custody agreement over their six children, Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11.

Despite the progress in the divorce proceedings, sources told Us Weekly that Jolie continues to hold a grudge against Pitt. “Angelina still has a lot of resentment toward Brad,” the insider explained.

“She wants him to be held accountable because she feels he turned her and the children’s lives upside down.”

Another source hinted that one of the reasons Jolie is still unhappy is because she feels trapped by Pitt. “Before the divorce, the entire family led a very nomadic existence, and that was because of Angie’s restlessness,” the insider said,

“Brad wanted the kids to have stability while Angie always said they were giving the children an idyllic childhood by exposing them to different countries, languages and experiences.”

Although the 44-year-old feels restricted, she has not allowed her divorce to affect her love life. Sources to US Weekly that Jolie “has been on a few dates” since her split from Pitt “but nothing serious” has resulted.

Even though Jolie has taken steps to move on with her life, her children are her main focus.“She isn’t closed to the idea of meeting someone new, but it’s not her main priority. She’s all about focusing on the kids, her job, and cleaning up her messy divorce,” the source said.
