Filmmaker Ian Halperin is set to create and release a documentary focusing on Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s relationship and divorce.

According to the Daily Mail, the 52-year-old investigative journalist is set to expose intimate details that led to the breakup of Jolie and Pitt. Additionally, information about the estranged couple’s whereabouts, their court appearances and custody battles will also be part of the project.

A source close to Halperin told The Sun that a lot of Jolie’s and Pitt’s secrets will come out. The insider claimed, “Ian has covered every cough and spit of their relationship and will reveal the real reasons behind Angelina filing for divorce. The biggest shock will be his claim that the couple were apart for more than a year prior to their breakup.”

Meanwhile, the documentary, titled “Broken: The Incredible Story of Brangelina,” is slated to be released worldwide after the rights were acquired by Content Media Corporation. Halperin is known for his 2009 book about Jolie and Pitt, in which he predicted that the couple will split seven years later. Halperin also wrote a book about the Michael Jackson’s final years, and it was used as inspiration for the film “Gone Too Soon.”

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016. At the time, reports surfaced that Pitt physically abused one of their kids while they were on the plane. Investigators later on claimed that there was no truth to the allegations.

Pitt initially wanted to fix his marriage to Jolie, but the actor has fully cooperated with the divorce proceedings. Most recently, they released a joint statement saying that their custody battle for their six children will be kept private and away from the media.
