Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called the Russian invaders "absolute evil" as the war in the country entered its 111th day.

The comments come amid reports of another mass grave excavated in Bucha.

The officials said a mass grave was found in a forest. The grave contained the bodies of seven Ukrainian civilians suspected of being killed by Russian military forces. The bodies were discovered by a patrol of Territorial Defence Forces. Some of the bodies showed signs of having been tied up and shot at.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the site, media reports said.

In his nightly address to the nation Monday, Zelensky said, “We are dealing with absolute evil. And we have no choice but to move on,” adding Ukrainian forces will “knock out the occupiers from all our areas. We will rebuild everything that was destroyed by the occupiers, from Volnovakha to Chortkiv, because this is Ukraine. And it was our destiny to return and strengthen it.”

Ukraine said Monday its forces were pushed back from the center of the eastern city of Severodonetsk, where Russia forces have intensified the fight for weeks.

"The enemy, with support of artillery, carried out assault operations in the city of Severodonetsk, had partial success, pushed our units away from the city center," the Ukrainian military said on Facebook, according to the Defense Post.

The local governor, Sergiy Gaiday, said "the Russians were partially successful at night" in the city. They "pushed our troops from the center and continue to destroy our city," he said on Facebook.

Newly released satellite images showed a number of destroyed and damaged bridges, which link Severodonetsk to the nearby towns of Rubizhne and Lysychansk, Al Jazeera reported.

Many civilians were trapped after the last bridge to the city was destroyed, making it impossible to deliver humanitarian supplies, Luhansk Governor Serhiy Haidai said Monday.

"The price of this battle for us is very high. It’s just scary,” Zelensky said earlier. “The battle for the Donbas will without doubt be remembered in military history as one of the most violent battles in Europe. We are dealing with absolute evil. And we have no choice but to move forward and free our territory.”
