The Apple Store app for iOS devices has been updated with redesigned tools and a new feature that lets users control the app using their voice.

Apple recently rolled out version 5.1 of the Apple Store app. The biggest update that comes with the new version is support for voice search. To use the new feature, users will have to tap the microphone icon found in the search bar and verbally enter the terms related to the items they are looking for, according to Apple Insider.

With the new option, the search section has been given a redesigned look. Aside from the addition of the microphone icon on to the right end of the search bar, new search suggestions are right away displayed below the new Try Searching option under the search bar.

Apple’s new search suggestions include: “Stores near me,” “Sessions near me,” “iPhone upgrade information” and “My Order Status,” among others, as per MacRumors. Users can simply tap on any of the suggestions if they are looking for something similar.

For the unfamiliar, the Apple Store app is primarily geared toward shopping. Based on its product description, the app offers a more personal way to shop for Apple’s latest products and accessories. The app is designed to show recommendations based on the Apple products consumers already own.

Using the app has its advantages. Users can quickly find accessories compatible with their units. They can also easily upgrade to newer models through the app. Plus, they get to sign up for hands-on sessions in stores when new products arrive.

The Apple Store app is free to download and it runs on a wide range of devices running iOS 10 and newer operating systems. The latest version is clocking in at 75.8 MB. It is also important to note that the Apple Store app and its features are available only in select markets.
