The “Problem” singer is once again using her influence to address an issue. Ariana Grande posted a social media plea to fans urging them not to “turn a blind eye” to the severity of the coronavirus pandemic and to call senators to pass the H.R.6201 bill.

The 26-year-old singer shared her thoughts via Twitter and Instagram encouraging others to take COVID-19 seriously and that the nonchalant attitudes of some about the virus are “blowing her mind.”

“I keep hearing from a surprising amount of people statements like ‘this isn’t a big deal,’ / ‘we’ll be fine...’ ‘we still have to go about our lives,’ and it’s really blowing my mind,” she wrote.

Grande continued, “It’s incredibly dangerous and selfish to take this situation lightly. The 'we will be fine because we’re young' mindset is putting people who aren’t young and/or healthy in a lot of danger. You sound stupid and privileged and you need to care more about others. like now.”

In typical Grande fashion, the singer then went on to post screenshots of her Tweets where she spoke out about the H.R.6201 bill. The bill is the Families First Coronavirus Response Act that would ensure emergency paid sick leave, food and nutrition services, unemployment insurance stabilization and other measures to help the American people during this global crisis, according to Vox.

The bill passed through the House of Representatives Saturday and is now awaiting approval from the Senate.

Grande posted screenshots on her Instagram story of her Twitter feed, where she encouraged fans to “urgently” call senators and ask them to vote yes to the bill that provides “necessary financial support” in a variety of areas.

“Coyote Ugly” and “Cheaper by the Dozen” actress Piper Perabo then jumped into the action, replying to Grande’s tweet with gratitude and posting the phone number for citizens to call senators. Grande retweeted the info.

Grande’s informational posts follow her tweet from Thursday where she said, “sending love. be safe,” after the World Health Organization officially declared coronavirus to be a pandemic, CNN reported.
