It’s the last chapter for Oliver Queen. The CW’s “Arrow,” which launched in October 2012, will conclude with Tuesday’s Season 8 finale. The goodbye will be filled with tears and returning characters.

While the penultimate “Arrow” episode was a backdoor pilot for “Green Arrow and the Canaries,” set in 2040, it seems like the series finale focuses more on the immediate aftermath of the Crisis. Though his presence loomed large, Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen wasn’t physically in any new scenes for 809. It sounds like that might not be the case in the swan song episode.

“Stephen Amell signs off as the Green Arrow,” the series finale press release warns. Also returning is the person who will miss Oliver most. After deciding to leave the series at the end of Season 7, Emily Bett Rickards returns as Felicity Smoak for the series finale. Watch the trailer below:

The synopsis for “Arrow” Season 8, episode 10 is vague. “After eight seasons, and the launch of countless superheroes, the series wraps up the story of the Green Arrow,” the logline says. Luckily, photos are more revealing.

The CW released stills this week that confirm several characters will be back for the finale, aptly titled “Fadeout.” Among the familiar faces is Moira Queen (Susanna Thompson), who should be dead. However, the Crisis changed things on Earth Prime, and Moira’s survival wouldn’t be the strangest thing.

She seems to be standing with her grandson (who is still a child), William Clayton (Jack Moore) and Robert Queen’s secret daughter, Emiko (Sea Shimooka). Also back is Thea Queen/Speedy (Willa Holland), who made another appearance earlier this season.

It looks like the series finale will reunite her with Roy Harper/Arsenal (Colton Haynes). That will tie up some loose ends since Roy and Thea were revealed to have split earlier this season.

Interestingly, the new Green Arrow is in these photos as well. Mia (Katherine McNamara) is standing next to Felicity, so it seems the whole family will get to meet Oliver’s adult daughter.

Also present in a bunker photo is Dinah Drake/Black Canary (Juliana Harkavy), who made it clear in the backdoor pilot that she hadn’t been in 2020 since the Crisis. Curtis/Mr. Terrific and Ragman/Rory Regan (Joe Dinicol) are also in the photo.

The Flash/Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz) are also in the episode.

Knowing “Arrow,” there might be a surprise return or two. Actress Katrina Law couldn’t tell International Business Times if she has a role in the final season as Nyssa al Ghul. “There's always a possibility of everything in the Arrow, DC universe,” the actress teased.

James Bamford directed the “Arrow” series finale, which was written by Marc Guggenheim and Beth Schwartz. The finale will be followed by a one-hour retrospective special.
