“Bachelor in Paradise” couple Carly Waddell and Evan Bass have shared new details about their first baby together. The reality stars revealed the sex of their child and also claimed that the pregnancy feels like its for a “miracle baby.”

On Saturday, Waddell and Bass sat down with Entertainment Tonight to talk about their experience being soon-to-be parents. “We got a call at 1 [p.m.] from our doctor telling us it was a girl, and we both wept,” Bass told the publication.

The businessman, who is already a father of three sons — Ensley, Nathan and Liam — from a previous relationship, admitted that he was over the moon happy to know that he has a baby girl. “We were shocked and elated! I didn’t think I could produce a girl! It feels like a miracle baby,” he said.

Waddell, who is a first-time mom, also reiterated the same sentiment when she said, “It was a great surprise. It’s a great little miracle.”

When asked about the possible name they’re giving their first little bundle of joy, Bass said he wants it to be “Evan Jr.” regardless of the baby’s sex. However, Waddell does not approve of this, saying, “He is like telling everyone, ‘it’s gonna be named Evan regardless,’ and I’m like, ‘so NO!’”

Waddell went on to explain that the main reason why she’s against naming her daughter Evan is that she wants to avoid confusion inside the house. “I think that’s so confusing cuz if I’m like mad, I’m like ‘Evan!’ then, you both run in and [yell] like ‘What?’ That’s so confusing,” she said.

Waddell and Bass announced that they are expecting early this month. “We are so happy to be expanding our family as we welcome Baby Bass in 2018,” they said at the time, as per People.

The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in June. Puerto Vallarta is special to them since this was the set of “Bachelor in Paradise” where they first met.

“We had a dream wedding on Saturday. It was truly the perfect day with friends and family in Mexico,” Waddell and Bass said in a joint statement issued after they tied the knot.
