Season 2 of “Bates Motel” doesn’t premiere until 2014, but that’s not stopping the stars of A&E’s hit series from talking about the upcoming drama. The latest scoop on Norma and Norman Bates comes courtesy of show newcomer Kenny Johnson … and it’s a pretty startling spoiler!

“Bates Motel” viewers will remember that Norma dropped a major bomb on her son Norman during the season 1 finale. Fifteen minutes before he was supposed to leave for his school dance, Norma revealed that she had been raped by her brother from when she was 13-years-old up until when she moved out of their house. The nasty looking scar that Norma has on her upper thigh is from a hot iron that fell on her when she feared that her dad would walk in and kill her brother for what he was doing.

Thanks to actor Kenny Johnson we know that there are two sides to Norma’s rape claim.

“He has his version and she has her version,” Johnson told Entertainment Weekly of Norma’s brother, Caleb. “Obviously in an episode last season, she says [her] brother used to rape [her] in high school, so that’s all her son knows. But what is the real story and what’s the background, nobody is really going to know.”

As we previously reported, Caleb will show up in White Pine Bay to “coax his little sis into investing in a presumably shady business venture.” EW also teases that he’ll be seeking “some version of reconciliation” … but will that go over well with Norma’s two sons, Norman and Dylan?

Based on Norman’s psychotic break in the season 1 finale with Miss Watson, we wouldn’t be surprised if Norman’s rage blinds him to the point of attacking his uncle.
