  • "Better Call Saul" Season 6 may give Tuco a bigger role
  • The cops are still looking for Lalo
  • The next season may be set in the year 2005

As “Better Call Saul” Season 6 reaches closer to “Breaking Bad” series, one character may get a bigger role on the show. Tuco Salamanca (Raymond Cruz) has appeared in the TV series before, but recent events have paved the way for him to play a bigger role.

The following article contains spoilers of the previous seasons of “Better Call Saul.”

Lalo (Tony Dalton) was forced to cross the border and stay home after being framed for murder. A failed assassination attempt has forced him to return, but he may not be able to do much because the cops are still looking for him. Before crossing the border, he told Hector (Mark Margolis) that Tuco will run the drug operations in America while he works against Gus (Giancarlo Esposito).

According to Screen Rant, that scene of Lalo and Hector has established Tuco’s future role. The character is currently in jail, and is set to be released in a few months.

The plot of the next season when it comes to the Salamanca clan may be about Tuco taking over the drug empire at a time when there is chaos. If “Better Call Saul” Season 6 is set around the year 2005, it will give the producers three full years to tell the story about how Tuco managed the business and became the boss the fans saw in “Breaking Bad,” which was set in the year 2008.

Lalo is expected to be the main villain of the show. According to Screen Rant there are some creepy similarities between the villain and Joaquin Phoenix’s character Arthur Fleck in the 2019 film “Joker.”

Filming of the next season is yet to begin. According to Rolling Stone, the writers had just started discussing the plot of the final season when the lockdown was announced to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. When the lockdown does end, there will be production challenges because many of the other projects that have been shelved will compete for the limited studio space.

All the challenges mean that there will be a long delay before “Better Call Saul” Season 6 is released. The producers on the other hand are confident that the wait will be worth it.
