‘Big Bang Theory’
Kaley Cuoco and Kunal Nayyar, who play the roles of Penny and Raj, respectively, will be present at the “Big Bang Theory” panel discussion at the 2017 Comic-Con in San Diego on July 21. CBS

Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Amy (Mayim Bialik), Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) faced major relationship issues on Thursday night’s episode of “Big Bang Theory” Season 10.

In episode 19, titled “The Fluctuation Collaboration,” Penny and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) developed a close friendsip after the latter moved into the Penny’s apartment. Penny’s husband, Leonard, was not exactly pleased with his wife’s friendship with Raj because this made him feel left out. Penny and Raj had an enjoyable time shopping and practicing yoga, and these are things Leonard never got to do with Penny.

Elsewhere, Sheldon and Amy decided to become a power couple in their respective fields of expertise by collaborating on a research. Sheldon, who is a great physicist, decided to investigate one of Amy’s studies. The latter is an equally great neuroscientist who initially believed that working with Sheldon will be great for their relationship. But what started off as a wonderful partnership ended in the couple fighting about who is doing more work, who is solving more problems and who is more experienced in their respective fields.

Meanwhile, Howard and Bernadette are struggling to connect, especially now that they are so busy taking care of their daughter, Hallie. When Leonard accompanied the couple to the grocery store, Howard and Bernadette realized that they are not necessarily enjoying each other’s company. Bernadette told Howard that there are some instances where she feels obliged to accompany her husband even if she doesn’t really want to. Howard was surprised to hear this because Bernadette never complained.

Even though the relationship issues were not really resolved toward the end of the episode, it is likely that Penny and Leonard, Sheldon and Amy and Howard and Bernadette will fix their problems in the upcoming installment.

“Big Bang Theory” Season 10 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
