Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are, undeniably, one of the most popular couples today. Though the pair has been bombarded with several malicious rumors, both singers continue to show a strong front in public, proving that they are going getting stronger by the day. Recently, the “God Gave Me You” singer talked about his past ladylove, Miranda Lambert, including the mayhem in his life when he first confirmed their divorce.

Blake, in an interview with Nashville Lifestyles, divulged that most of his past songs remind him of some particular happenings in the past. He revealed that his “If I’m Honest” album makes him remember of Miranda while the “Texoma Shore” album causes him to think of Gwen. Blake said things have become better now after years of “so much turmoil” in his life.

“It went by so fast that part of me misses that time a little bit –when I was first meeting Gwen and getting together with her, and getting over the divorce,” Blake Shelton told the publication. “A lot of things were going on and I didn’t have enough time to absorb all of that, so I love hearing those songs. They take me back,” he went on.

Up until now, neither Blake nor Miranda Lambert has revealed the main reason behind their breakup. However, previous reports claimed that the “Mama’s Broken Heart” singer got tired of living separately from her former hubby. It, reportedly, even came to a point when Miranda felt like she was an “abandoned wife” since Blake stays in Los Angeles to film “The Voice” most of the time.

Us Weekly suggested that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s disagreement on whether or not to have kids right away was also one of the primary reasons behind their infamous divorce. “"Blake was dying to have kids, but Miranda kept putting it off,” a source told the publication.

Meanwhile, Blake, recently, revealed that it was Gwen Stefani who brought him closer to God. “I believe in God now more than I ever have in my life,” the “God’s Country” singer told The Tennessean. “The biggest part of that is just how [Gwen] came into my life and now our relationship,” he added.

Blake Shelton continued that not putting God in the center of everything will make one’s life senseless. He also revealed that Gwen Stefani convinced him to go to church regularly, before adding that the mom of three inspired him to move on from his darkest days.
