Bob Saget Cause Of Death Revealed 1 Month After He Was Found Dead In Hotel

Bob Saget's cause of death has been revealed.

One month after the "Full House" star was found dead at age 65 in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, on Jan. 9, his family confirmed in a statement to Page Six that he died after an unspecified trauma to his head.

"The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved," the Saget family said Wednesday.

The late actor's family added that they've been "overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob's fans" in the weeks since his death and that the support has "been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful."

"Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us," they continued. "As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter."

Meanwhile, TMZ reported, citing unnamed sources with "direct knowledge" of the situation, that Saget died of "brain bleed" and that there was "an obvious bruise" on the back of his head.

Authorities also confirmed that there was "no evidence of drug use or foul play" when Saget's autopsy was completed on Jan. 10, People reported.

Saget is survived by his wife Kelly Rizzo and his three daughters — Aubrey, 34, Lara, 32, and Jennifer, 29 — whom she shared with ex-wife Sherri Kramer.

Rizzo previously revealed that Saget had always made sure to let his family and friends know that he loved them.

"Anyone he met and even spent any time with at all, he told them he loved them endlessly and tirelessly. And that was his entire message," Rizzo told Hoda Kotb when she recently appeared on "Today." "If you knew Bob, and he loved you, you knew it. There was never, ever a doubt in your mind."

Rizzo marked one month since her husband's death by sharing clips on Instagram of her and Saget "sharing and exploring" food and drinks around the world.

"One month without this incredible man," Rizzo began in the caption of the video, which was set to the tune of Jackson Browne's "Fountain Of Sorrow."

She said Saget "truly lived life to its fullest" and went through "so many hardships" over the years that he would tell her: "Look, life is hard, we need to enjoy it as much as possible."

According to the 42-year-old food and travel blogger, "one of the best ways" they did this was by enjoying "amazing" food around the world. She said their "happy place" was when they were at a restaurant, a hotel lobby bar or their own kitchen trying one of her creations.

"He was never shy about ordering, and he would even tell you to get everything on the menu that you wanted because he also wanted to see you enjoy everything to the fullest," she continued. "Experiencing simple pleasures in life like that brought him so much joy. I can’t even put into words how much I will miss this."
