Friday's episode of the CBS soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful" is about the California Freedom fashion show. The episode also will feature Maya in her element as the face of Forrester Creations' new line. Plus, watch out for familiar faces on the runway with Maya.

It will focus on Maya Avant (Karla Mosley), Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards), Julius Avant (Obba Babatundé), Alexandria "Aly" Forrester (Ashlyn Pearce), Rick Forrester (Jacob Young), Vivienne Avant (Anna Maria Horsford) and Caroline Forrester (Linsey Godfrey).

The events follow Thursday's episode, which showed Nicole getting mad at Julius for his conversation with Maya. Julius told her he's trying to make things work and patch things up with his daughter. He also believes he should meet the Forresters, starting with Rick. Vivienne got worried about Julius' plan. She thinks Rick might not like her husband's frankness. Vivienne told Nicole that spending time with Maya might help Julius understand and accept her new world better.

We Love Soaps reports that the show's Wednesday episode was pre-empted because of the CBS News coverage about President Barack Obama's press conference on the nuclear deal with Iran. CBS decided to air a repeat episode for fans on the West Coast.

TV Guide reports that in Friday's episode, Ridge and Caroline will prepare for the launch of the new California Freedom line during a special Forrester Creations fashion show. Maya's parents, Vivienne and Julius Avant, will see her in her element as she struts her stuff on stage.

We Love Soaps also reports that Carmen Carrera of "RuPaul's Drag Race" and "RuPaul's Drag U," and Isis King of "America's Next Top Model" Cycles 11 and 17, will appear in the episode as models of Forrester Creations. They will join Maya on stage to represent the California Freedom line. Both Carrera and King are transgender women. King had her sex reassignment surgery in 2009. The California Freedom line is the result of a design collaboration between Caroline and Ridge Forrester.
