He went off a cliff during an altercation with Brooke and Hope and has some severe brain swelling that could prove to be permanently traumatic. Now, as Thomas remains unconscious, everyone will worry over the possibility that he may never wake up from his unconscious state on the Friday, August 30 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Things have been tense ever since Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) fell off the cliff while trying to apologize to Hope (Annika Noelle) for all the pain he caused her, and things haven’t been easy for Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) especially, since she was the one who pushed him away from her daughter and sent him over the edge. However, while she has insisted it was an accident on the CBS soap, her husband, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) has been feeling differently, and their disagreement over the situation could show as Detective Sanchez (Jeremy Ray Valdez) arrives at the hospital to get answers.

“Detective Sanchez grills Ridge and Brooke about Thomas’ accident,” spoilers reveal.

However, even if his interrogation leaves Brooke safe from the implication she’s in trouble, it won’t keep the families who are all affected by everything that has happened these last few months from worrying about Thomas’ condition, and what it would mean for all their futures if he never wakes up.

However, while him potentially waking up would quell some concerns and fears, it could also mean more trouble as well—depending on what he remembers and decides to reveal on his own. Not only could he implicate Brooke by claiming she pushed him intentionally, but he could also cause problems for those who have already faced consequences for the entire scenario with Baby Beth, because they’ve all revealed the steps he went to in order to keep the secret from getting out—but if he conveniently forgets what he did, then he could escape charges for his own crimes.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
