‘The Bold Type’ Spoilers: Episode 9 Videos Tease Trouble For Kat, Adena

“The Bold Type” has shown that Kat feels drawn to Adena, but the government might get in their way. A new sneak-peek video from Freeform shows that Adena will have trouble getting into the country in Season 1, episode 9.

Sneak-Peek Video No. 1

In the video clip, Kat (Aisha Dee) seems to be all prepared for romance. She’s ready to leave work early and even made dinner reservations. Adena (Nikohl Boosheri) quickly pumps the brakes, though. “No Kat. There’s a problem. I’m being held here at customs. They won’t let me into the country,” she reveals.

It seems that this isn’t just a paperwork error that she needs resolved. Adena actually has to go back to her home country. “They’re putting me on a flight home tomorrow, first one out,” she says.

Kat is clearly distraught, but Adena has to hang up once the customs officer returns.

As previously reported, Kat is going to feel pretty impulsive when she realizes Adena might be leaving. Will she try to go with her new love?

Sneak-Peek Video No. 2

While Kat will be concerned with Adena, the other ladies of Scarlet will be working — or at least trying to. Another clip show that Jane (Katie Stevens) will have to give a story to Alex (Matt Ward).

Jane pitches a genderless fashion article for everyday consumers. Jacqueline (Melora Hardin) is interested, but she wants a male perspective. She assigns the story to Alex, and Jane gets to make the monthly quiz instead. She clearly isn’t thrilled by her assignment.

In the last episode, Jane was offered a job at Insight. Will this make her consider taking the job?

Sneak-Peek Video No. 3

Though Jane is upset, that doesn’t mean Sutton (Meghann Fahy) will spend all her time being sympathetic. She wants to dress Alex for the story, which Alex reveals he doesn’t even want to do. When Sutton shows him what she has in mind, he’s even less enthused.

“You want to put me in a dress?” Alex asks.

“I want a solo styling credit in the magazine,” Sutton explains.

It seems after having to share credit with someone who didn’t do their fair share of work last week, Sutton wants to prove that she can handle herself solo. Will Alex let her dress him?

With this being the last episode before the “Bold Type” season finale, expect plenty of twists — including a presidential one. When Donald Trump comes to town, his visit will cause many of the staffers to get stuck in the office for the night. The occasion will allow Jane to contemplate job possibilities and bond with Pinstripe (Dan Jeannotte).

Meanwhile, Sutton will hang out with Alex. Let’s not forget that he said he’d kiss her if she wasn’t with Richard a few weeks ago. Will the two start to grow closer or stay safely in the friend zone?
