Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt shocked fans when they announced their decision to split in Sept. 2016. Most, if not all, fans were left wondering about the primary reason behind their infamous breakup. Recently, the “Ad Astra” actor opened up about the Brangelina divorce for the first time.

Speaking to Interview Magazine, Brad talked about the mistakes he committed in the past and revealed how he coped up with his separation from Angelina. The “Fight Club” actor told Anthony Hopkins that he does give values to his slip-ups for it made him realize things that led him into the right path.

“I’m realizing, as a real act of forgiveness for myself for all the choices that I’ve made that I’m not proud of, that I value those missteps, because they led to some wisdom, which led to something else,” Brad Pitt said. “You can’t have one without the other. I see it as something I’m just now getting my arms around at this time in my life. But I certainly don’t feel like I can take credit for any of it,” he went on.

Brad also divulged to his “Legends of the Fall” co-star that he used alcohol as an “escape” from all the things he had to face at the time. Brad, however, made it clear that he is doing so much better now after getting help. The “Seven” actor also said he learned to embrace the “embarrassments” he committed in the past with open arms.

“We’ve always placed great importance on mistakes. But what you do after the mistake, is what actually defines a person. We are all going to make mistakes. But what’s that next step?” Brad Pitt stated. “We don’t, as a culture, seem to stick around and see what that person’s next step is. And that is the part I find much more invigorating and interesting,” he added.

Meanwhile, Woman’s Day claimed that Brad Pitt is now moving on from Angelina Jolie with Alia Shawkat. The tabloid claimed that Brad and Alia were sighted getting a little flirty during Kanye West’s concert. A source even told the outlet that the pair was spotted holding hands when they entered the venue and quickly let go when people started seeing them.

“Brad was holding her hand and rubbing her leg during the show, and exchanging gooey-eyed glances,” the tipster claimed. “Friends haven’t seen Brad this happy in a very long time… They were extremely touchy-feely throughout the show,” it went on.

However, besides the fact that Woman’s Day is known for publishing stories based on the claims of its unreliable sources, no enough pieces of evidence can back up these claims as of press time. Hence, fans should take these unverified reports lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
