  • Britney Spears dad, Jamie Spears, has now agreed to end her conservatorship
  • Jamie's lawyer said he really cared about Spears and wanted to protect her
  • Jamie's request is unconditional and not subject to any demand for release or compensation

Britney Spears' dad, Jamie Spears, has acknowledged his daughter's desire to have her over a decade conservatorship terminated.

In the new court documents obtained by People Monday, Jamie's lawyer, Alex Weingarten, wrote that the Spears patriarch believes "Britney's recent testimony and requests to take personal control of her estate and affairs have made clear that continuing the Conservatorship is contrary to her desires."

The document continued, "Jamie sees no reason why the Conservatorship should continue for any amount of time and asserts he has no interest in the Conservatorship continuing."

The attorney also made it clear that Jamie's request is "unconditional" adding that he doesn't subject the request to any demand for release or compensation. Instead, he decided to end it because he "unconditionally loves and supports his daughter."

Weingarten noted that Jamie wanted to protect and care for Spears as what he had done in the past 13 years serving as her Conservator. However, he has now accepted the fact that she wants to end the conservatorship and he is supportive of her.

Jamie's request to end Spears' conservatorship came just a week after her attorney Mathew Rosengart claimed he had ulterior motives for reversing his position on his daughter's conservatorship.

Two weeks before his filing, Jamie received discovery requests from Rosengart seeking information about the role of Tris Star Sports & Entertainment Group in the conservatorship. In Rosengart's filing on Oct. 1, he alleged that Spears' dad was "motivated by a desire to bolster his reputation or to avoid his deposition or responding to the outstanding discovery served on him in August."

Weingarten denied the allegations saying that Jamie has nothing to hide about Spears' estate. Jamie's legal counsel also added that the Conservatorship should be made available to the public for examination. Also, Jamie said he would be cooperative in transferring all files related to Spears' estate.

Jaime was suspended as the conservator of the estate in September. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny ruled that it would be in Spears' best interest to suspend her dad because his administration reflected a toxic environment.

Following Jaime's suspension, Spears talked about healing on Instagram. The pop princess said that she still has to do a lot of healing and acknowledged the good support that she has in her life.
