  • A new bug in Search and Destroy mode has drew the ire of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" players
  • Unfortunately, Activision and Infinity Ward has no fix yet for the bug
  • Search and Destroy is one of the most popular modes in Modern Warfare

There’s a new bug in “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” and fans might have to wait longer to get it fixed.

The Search and Destroy bug has been prevalent in the game recently. It allows one random player on a team to move while still in countdown before the round actually starts, thereby giving the said player and the team an unfair advantage.

Search and Destroy is a fan-favorite mode in the “Call of Duty” series, thanks to its highly competitive nature. In the mode, two teams (attackers and defenders) fight each other, with the attacking squad aiming to arm a bomb and the defending team looking to stop them.

With that said, however, players and fans alike have been upset with the bug that ruins the competitiveness of the mode that makes it well-loved in the first place.

Unfortunately, the game developer himself admitted that there’s no fix yet for the said issue.

After a player brought up the problem to “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” developer Joe Cecot on Twitter, he responded and confessed that they are unable to address it at the moment.

Activision and Infinity Ward have been protective of their community and player-base, so it’s not hard to see them taking significant action if the bug continues to persist and anger gamers. For now, however, fans will need to remain patient and report the bug once it hits again.

On more positive news, players can expect additional content to come into the game in the next few months. In its Season Three update earlier this April, Activision and Infinity Ward brought three new maps to Modern Warfare – namely Talsik Backlot, Hovec Sawmill and Aniyah Incursion.

Aside from the maps, the game also received a new set of playlists and weapons in the said update.

On the other hand, in “Call of Duty: Warzone,” Quads mode has been added in Season Three to allow players to team up in a group of four. Along with it though, an update on the loadout drops was made to make it more difficult to access.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” and “Call of Duty: Warzone” are available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
