Camila Cabello is preparing to release her first solo album, but the former Fifth Harmony member will be part of another collaboration first. She is working on a song that will benefit Puerto Rico.

On Saturday, Lin-Manuel Miranda — the mastermind behind “Hamilton” and the “Moana” soundtrack — revealed that Cabello was in the studio recording. He shared a brief clip of the 20-year-old singing while Miranda looked excited.

Miranda reached out to Cabello, who was born in Cuba, last week. He congratulated her on the success of her latest single, “Havana,” and told her to check her direct messages. “That ‘Havana’ is a BOP. Congrats! Check your DMs plis [sic] I have an idea…” he wrote.

Tyra Banks retweeted the message in support of both artists working together, and then Cabello responded with a gif to both of them, indicating her excitement.

It seems Cabello was into Miranda’s idea. She was in the studio with the “Hamilton” star just a few days later.

Miranda, who still has family in Puerto Rico, has been focused on helping the island after Hurricane Maria caused a devastating amount of damage. He has been supporting the Hispanic Federation’s UNIDOS Disaster Relief Fund. The organization is making sure 100 percent of the donations to the fund go to Puerto Rico’s Hurricane Maria recovery efforts and the Mexico City earthquake clean up.

Miranda announced that he was recording a charity single last week. He tweeted that he was traveling around the country all weekend to record everything he needs. While he does not want to unveil the title of the track just yet, he is referring to it with the hashtags #ForPR and #PorPR.

“For my part, I headed right to the studio. We’re recording a song for hurricane relief,” Miranda told CNN. “It’s a love letter to Puerto Rico. I had the idea at 3 in the morning.”

The Tony-award winner explained that he didn’t have instruments or anything when recording the demo since he was on vacation. However, the demo was good enough to attract some serious star power. “I called every Puerto Rican I know, so all of your favorite Puerto Rican stars will be singing on this song,” he added.

Cabello is one of several celebrities who will participate in the track. Miranda has not yet unveiled his full list of stars. However, his sneak peeks have revealed that “One Day at a Time” star Rita Moreno, “Jane the Virgin” actress Gina Rodriguez and Panamanian singer Rubén Blades are on the hurricane relief song.

While much of Miranda’s efforts have been focused on getting resources to Puerto Rico, the Wesleyan University alum attracted attention for his response to President Donald Trump’s criticism of San Juan mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz.

“The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump,” Trump wrote on Twitter Saturday. “Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help. They want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort. 10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job.”

Miranda, who typically keeps his tweets optimistic and positive, had a message for the President: “You’re going straight to hell, @realDonaldTrump. No long lines for you. Someone will say, ‘Right this way, sir.’ They'll clear a path.”
