Fifth Harmony may be on the cusp of debuting their third studio album as a quartet, but former group member Camila Cabello just hit a career milestone all on her own. Over the weekend, the “Love Incredible” singer performed for the first time at the Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival as a solo artist.

On Sunday, the 20-year-old hit the stage at the festival for a 35 minute solo set where she performed several songs off of her upcoming album, debuted some new tunes to the ecstatic crowd and, later on, made an appearance during Major Lazer’s performance. On Monday, Cabello shared a video summing up her festival experience.

“That was magic. thank you so much @billboard for having us at #Hot100fest,” she tweeted. In the video, Cabello was shown taking pictures with fans, getting ready with her backup dancers and hitting the stage, where she showed off her best moves and sung her heart out.

Before performing her single “I Have Questions,” the singer confessed that she was feeling a ton of pressure during her festival set. “This is my first time performing this live, it has so much weight to me,” she told the crowd.

“It’s about someone I thought would be in my life forever… but then you wake up from that dream,” she explained.

During her set, Cabello performed several popular tunes including “Havana,” “OMG” and “Bad Things.” The singer also surprised fans by whipping out an electric guitar for her last song, “I’ll Never Be the Same.”

Cabello’s praised festival performance comes just days before her former group is set to release their self-titled third studio album. On Sunday, singer Dinah Jane Hansen responded to a fan who was counting down the release of the new album. “Exactly 5 DAYS!!!!!” she wrote.

When Cabello left Fifth Harmony in December, it was clear she wasn’t on the best of terms with her group members. The solo artist and the group had a brief social media feud, calling one another out for their behavior following the exit.

When Cabello first left the group, Fifth Harmony released a statement revealing they were surprised that she left, however, she followed up with a statement of her own, claiming that they had several long conversations about her desires to be a solo artist before she left the group.

The singers then released a counter statement revealing that Cabello never attempted to work things out with the group and refused to attend meetings in order to secure the group’s future.

During a recent chat with USA Today, 5H member Lauren Jauregui compared the group’s split to a celebrity divorce. “It really was, it was just like that. All of the drama, all of the hype,” she told the publication.

“But you know what? We’re so happy, and we moved forward, and we’re in a good place, and we hope she’s in a good place, and that’s really what matters. Everyone should just be in their own lane, do their own thing and stop worrying about everything else,” she continued.

It looks like the ladies are doing just that and making their own paths. While Fifth Harmony’s self-titled album is scheduled for a Aug. 25 release, Cabello’s solo album “The Hurting, The Healing, The Loving,” is expected to be released this fall.
