Camilla Parker Bowles claimed that she is a good wife despite not joining Prince Charles in Japan.

On Tuesday, the Duchess of Cornwall stepped out and visited an organic cheese farm sans her husband Prince Charles. The Prince of Wales is still in Japan for an official visit. Camilla was given a tour of The Bath Soft Cheese Company in Kelston.

Camilla received a gift box of four different cheeses. She then joked that she could be a good wife by sharing the present to her spouse.

“He’s away in Japan at the moment but I might be a good wife and keep it to share with him on his return,” Camilla said.

Camilla looked gorgeous in her green dress with matching white hat. She also wore shoe covers for the tour of the cheese company.

Managing director Hugh Padfield said that Camilla’s visit was such a “privilege” and that she was very “complimentary” over the cheese.

“She said the Merry Wyfe was her favourite. Merry Wyfe is washed with cider made on the farm every other day for four weeks. It was mentioned a couple of times that Prince Charles is a fan of smelly cheese,” he said.

Camilla also visited the Royal United Hospital and opened the new Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Disease and Brownsword Therapies Centre. Camilla is also set to a tea reception in London to mark the seventh anniversary of the National Literacy Trust’s Books Unlocked programme.

Many are convinced that Camilla will be the queen when Prince Charles takes over the throne. According to Robert Jobson, the duchess is about to become the new queen when Prince Charles becomes king.

However, not everyone agreed with this. According to Penny Junor, the royals have some issues about Camilla being the next queen. In fact, it would be better if she remains Princess Consort.

“At least one member of her family doesn’t want her to become Queen for fear of a backlash,” Junor wrote in her 2017 book “ The Duchess.” “I think it would be better for her if she became Princess Consort. I do so want her to be all right and I do worry that she won’t be. How is she going to be judged?”
