Camilla Parker Bowles just wore Queen Mother’s priceless jewelry.

On Thursday, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall stepped out together to attend a service for foreign secretary Lord Carrington. Camilla wore an all-black ensemble with a matching wool coat and a huge hat. She also wore gloves and was seen holding a small leather bag.

However, what stood out to many was Camilla’s accessories. The duchess wore her favorite pearl and diamonds earrings and paired them with a pearl necklace with a diamond clasp. She also used Queen Mother’s 90-year-old brooch.

The piece was made by Cartier, who was behind most of the royals’ gem collection. It was designed using rock crystals with a large diamond in the middle and around the edge. It also has small black details on the side that could be onyx. Camilla seems to be a huge fan of Queen Mother’s collection.

Camilla’s engagement ring also previously belonged to the Queen Mother. It is considered one of the most valuable items in the royal collection.

Meanwhile, Camilla’s Greville tiara was recently revealed to be more expensive than Princess Diana’s Cambridge Lover’s Knot headpiece. According to jewelry expert Deborah Papas, the late Princess of Wales tiara has an estimated value of around $1.3 million to $2.6 million. Meanwhile, Camilla’s tiara costs between $2.6 million and $3.9 million.

In related news, Camilla’s future as the next queen consort is still not guaranteed because according to royal biographer Christopher Wilson, her marriage with Prince Charles might be questioned and it may hinder her from becoming queen.

“Critics argued that Charles should have been barred from marrying in a register office by two statutes — the Marriage Act of 1836, which prohibits royals from marrying in register offices, and the 1949 Marriage Act,” Wilson explained.

“However, nothing short of a revolution can prevent Charles ascending the throne after his mother's death — but a legal challenge to the legitimacy of his marriage might put a stop to Camilla being crowned,” he added.

However, other experts are confident that Camilla will be queen because this is definitely what Prince Charles wants for his wife. Royal commentator Robert Jobson also doesn’t think that there will be any issues with their marriage. According to him, there will have to be a change in the law for Camilla not to be a queen consort.
